I paint not just because I love to, but also because I need to. No matter what emotions or life experiences fill me, I always have the desire to paint. Painting for me is like meditating for others. All of my thoughts and emotions are released through dabbing, smearing, scraping, dripping, splattering, and blending of paints. The outcome is usually unpredictable as my emotions run through acrylics. My mood and experiences may become permanently fixed on canvas. I even love seeing what I can create without ever using a paintbrush. Lately, I have been painting with hemp, elastic and wood scraps.
